In accordance with the legislative provisions in the field of child protection, namely Law no. 272/2004 regarding the protection and promotion of children's rights, the Tutelary Authority and Child Protection Office carries out activities of identifying and monitoring families and children in difficulty, preventing risk situations, preventing child abandonment and separation from their family, reintegrating the child into the family, as well as other actions aimed at respecting children's rights.
- Carries out activities of identification, intervention and monitoring of children who are deprived of parental care during the period when their parents are working abroad; evaluates the child's legal situation in order to identify a permanent solution for the child's protection and issues assessment reports for parents who are about to go to work abroad for the purpose of delegating parental authority, according to Government Decision no. 691/2015;
- Counsels and informs families in risk situations, with dependent children, regarding their rights and obligations, the rights of the children, monitors and analyzes the situation of children, as well as the way their rights are respected, ensuring the centralization and synthesis of relevant data and information;
- Establishes partnerships and collaborates with non-governmental organizations and representatives of civil society in order to develop and support child protection measures;
- Conducts social inquiries regarding the manner of raising and educating minors for the exercise of parental authority, establishing the residence of the minor, setting a visitation schedule, modifying child support, restraining order;
- Conducts social inquiries for minors for whom a protection measure has been established in order to reintegrate them into the natural family;
- Prepares the service plan through which the planning of services and benefits is made in order to prevent the separation of the child from their family;
- Conducts social inquiries for obtaining/renewing the maternal assistant certificate;
- Conducts social inquiries for persons requesting the leave of minors from placement centers.
