Automatic recognition of the quality of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*

Through this procedure, the status of doctoral supervisor obtained at an accredited higher education institution abroad is automatically recognized within the "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacău.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and of third countries, who have obtained the status of doctoral supervisor in accredited higher education institutions from Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries specified in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by Order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant teaching positions are filled with priority by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian education system is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

The appeal is filed with the University, within 15 calendar days from the receipt of the decision of non-recognition; subsequently, the university's decision may be challenged in court.
