The procedure applies to persons who request to become professional maternal assistants. The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who, through the activity carried out at their home, provides the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children received into placement.

The person requesting to become a professional maternal assistant shall submit an application for evaluation of capacity to DGASPC Argeş. The application must obligatorily state the number of children for whom the applicant believes they can simultaneously ensure optimal care conditions, the age group and gender of these children, the availability to care for children with disabilities/impairments, HIV-infected or suffering from AIDS. The application shall include the applicant’s Curriculum Vitae as well as the reasons for wanting to become a professional maternal assistant.
