In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives, and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of Romanian qualification titles for general nurses, midwives, and medical assistants in the other EU Member States.

The activities for certifying Romanian qualification titles for general nurses, midwives, and medical assistants in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent modifications and completions. As applicable, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online applications for issuing the necessary documents for professional recognition of the mentioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via PCUe to the county branch/ of the Municipality of Bucharest of OAMGMAMR, to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of OAMGMAMR member, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

In the situation where the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified via the PCUe system. Within 15 days from the notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all required documents. If the applicant does not respect the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, they will be sent online to applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
