Suspension of membership status occurs at the moment when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, an application requesting the suspension of membership status. At the moment when this suspension is requested, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training by completing 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

To support the requests, the documents listed below are attached.

The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.

Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the Bucharest Pharmacists’ College, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

In support of the request, the following documents listed below are attached.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) it will be mentioned the college to which the pharmacist has transferred. If a complaint has been registered against the pharmacist at the college from which they are transferring, or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint and the disciplinary file will be transmitted to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmacy unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmacy units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist – for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for preparing and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and will send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them to applicants with a signature upon receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO07 BACX 0000 0030 2672 0000.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.
