Available procedures
In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives, and Nurses of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles as general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States.
The activities for certifying the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States consist of the preparation and issuance of documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, the states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended and supplemented. Depending on the case, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.
Online applications for the issuance of documents necessary for the professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are submitted through PCUe to the county branch/ the Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT obtained the status of member of OAMGMAMR, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch within whose territorial area the applicant resides.
If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not comply with the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.
The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the specialized structure of the National OAMGMAMR, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, they will be sent online to the applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR to which they submitted the electronic file.
