Available procedures
The operational procedure presents the way in which the recruitment, evaluation, and training of persons who want to become professional maternal assistants are carried out, as well as the certification of professional maternal assistants capable of ensuring the upbringing and care of children who are temporarily or permanently separated from their parents. The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who, through the activity carried out at their home, ensures the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children they receive in placement. The person who wishes to obtain the certificate of professional maternal assistant submits an evaluation request for obtaining the professional maternal assistant certificate, addressed to DGASPC Botoșani, to which supporting documents are attached (copies of civil status documents and education certificates, criminal record). Following the evaluation, applicants will submit a request to the Child Protection Commission Botoșani for the issuance of the professional maternal assistant certificate, in which it is mandatory to mention the number of children for whom the applicant believes they can simultaneously ensure optimal care conditions, the age group and gender of these children, and their availability to care for children with special needs.
