This methodology establishes the manner in which the recognition, within Emanuel University of Oradea, of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad is performed.
The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries who have obtained the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field abroad in accredited university institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically.
Note: The doctoral diploma subject to recognition will be authenticated with the Hague Apostille for states that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, and for other states, the diploma will be legalized or accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the competent authorities in the country of origin. Exemption from apostille or legalization is permitted under the law, an international treaty to which Romania is a party, or based on reciprocity.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the “List of Prestigious Universities from Other Countries,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.
