Available procedures
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid to the account of the territorial college RO30BUCU1091215962444RON, ALPHA BANK, in the amount of 405 lei).
*Suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the territorial College, namely the Argeș College of Pharmacists, an application requesting the suspension of membership. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must fulfill the requirement of continuous professional training with a total of 40 EFC hours during that period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.
*The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obligated to pay up to date the dues owed to the college they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.net-dd.com), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been filed against the pharmacist at the college from which they are transferring or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Argeș College of Pharmacists, through which he/she requests the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
*In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college with which the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request to issue the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request form to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, who will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records - with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county - and will hand them over to applicants upon receipt signature.
The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the College of Pharmacists Argeș RO30BUCU1091215962444RON ALPHA BANK.
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Argeș, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.
