Available procedures
Rest camps for children and young people are organized and take place in leisure centers/tourist bases of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports organizes youth and student project competitions at the national level. Types of eligible activities carried out within youth/student projects: internships/courses, competitions, festivals, information/promotion campaigns, databases, electronic libraries, online platforms, educational platforms, web pages, experience exchanges, caravans, exhibitions, fairs, sports events, seminars, symposiums, round tables, debates, conferences, events, work meetings, workshops, summer schools, marking certain events. Types of eligible activities carried out within youth/student projects.
*Procedure for prior approval issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports necessary for engaging in negotiations with international sports organizations regarding the acceptance of national sports federations’ candidacy to organize in Romania certain official sports competitions - world, European, or regional championships.
The documentation shall be submitted in the year preceding the competition, at least 15 calendar days before the deadline set by the international sports organization for submitting candidacies or, as the case may be, according to the decisions of the international organizations. In situations where international regulations do not require submission of candidacies and/or the principle of rotation applies, national sports federations are obliged to request prior authorization in the year preceding the organization of the competition.
*Procedure for issuing the operating permit, the establishment approval, and the sports identity certificates required for sports structures with legal personality. Registration in the Sports Register is done based on the request, signed and stamped, formulated by the legal representative of each sports structure.
*The awarding of the titles "Emeritus Master of Sport", "Master of Sport" and "Emeritus Coach" is done at the proposal of national sports federations to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is granted to Romanian athletes and coaches who have achieved outstanding results in official national and international competitions.
The performance athlete who has won a gold, silver or bronze medal in individual or team events at the Olympic Games or a gold medal at the senior world and European championships in Olympic events is entitled, upon request and with confirmation from the Ministry of Youth and Sport, to a lifetime pension. Following the athlete's application, the Ministry of Youth and Sport forwards the request to the national sports federation, which, within 3 days, certifies:
- the applicant's withdrawal from competitive activity;
- the achievements for which the lifetime pension is requested
The application, accompanied by the note from the national sports federation, is forwarded to the Romanian Olympic Committee, which, within 3 days, certifies that the achievement was obtained in an Olympic event. The performance athlete who receives a lifetime pension is required to notify in writing, within 30 days, the Ministry of Youth and Sport of their return to official competitive activity as an active athlete.
*The Ministry of Youth and Sports, hereinafter referred to as MTS, through the county directorates for sport and youth / the Directorate for Sport and Youth of the Municipality of Bucharest, hereinafter referred to as DJST/DSTMB, organizes social camps for students during the summer vacation, as well as when the situation requires it, for children and young people from families at high risk of social integration, generated by natural disasters (affected by natural calamities such as floods, flash floods, earthquakes, fires, and other natural disasters). The beneficiaries of the social camps will be 50% students from families whose average monthly income per family member is up to 50% of the gross minimum wage in the economy, and 50% students who benefit from a special protection measure, instituted according to Law no. 272/2004 regarding the protection and promotion of children's rights, amended by Law no. 52/2016, for children and young people from families affected by natural calamities. DJST/DSTMB provides accommodation and meals for a period of 7 days in recreation centers/tourist bases, within the limits of available places and allocated budget, at the request of MTS.
*The Ministry of Youth and Sports accredits, for the purpose of organizing student camps and its own projects/camps, legal entities/authorized natural persons, Romanian or foreign, with branches or subsidiaries in Romania, whose object of activity is the administration of accommodation and public catering units, are classified as such and own/manage accommodation and public catering units.
*The national camps include educational – recreational and cultural – vocational activities (non-formal education activities, volunteering, civic education, social involvement, information, counseling and education activities for young people's personal development and increasing their degree of active participation in public life, painting, dance, theater or other cultural-artistic activities, etc.) provided in leisure centers/tourist bases during the summer school holiday, these being intended for students from lower secondary and high school cycles, namely grades V-XII, inclusive. The thematic camps include cultural – vocational activities (painting, dance, theater or other cultural-artistic activities) carried out during the summer school holiday, these being intended for students from all education cycles, namely grades I-XII, inclusive.
Procedure regarding the approval of affiliation of national sports federations to international federations and to other continental or global bodies. The submission of documentation will be made by national sports federations that are legal entities, established according to the law and have the status of sports structures, namely they possess the Sports Identity Certificate.
*Procedure for registering amendments to the articles of incorporation and/or the statutes and the articles of incorporation/company contract/disposal act of sports structures. The application deadline is 15 days from the occurrence of the amendments. Sports clubs notify the Ministry of Youth and Sports within 30 days of any change regarding the practice of sports branches provided in the articles of incorporation and the statutes, for the purpose of updating the Sports Register.
*Procedure for obtaining authorization to organize world, European, and regional championships on the territory of Romania. The documents will be submitted by the national sports federations. The deadline for submitting the documentation is at least 15 calendar days before the date of the competition.
*Procedure for obtaining the participation authorization for national teams at the world, European, and regional championships organized abroad. The deadline for submitting the documentation is at least 15 calendar days before the date set for the delegation's departure to the respective international competition.
*Procedure for official recognition of the practice of a sport branch in Romania. The official recognition of the practice of a sport branch in Romania is done by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the request of its practitioners. The analysis and verification of the documentation accompanying the official recognition request are carried out by the commission appointed by order of the Minister of Youth and Sports.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, hereinafter referred to as MTS, through the county directorates for sport and youth / the Directorate for Sport and Youth of the Municipality of Bucharest, hereinafter referred to as DJST/DSTMB, organizes camps for children, youth, students with disabilities, together with personal assistants/professional personal assistants, hereinafter referred to as beneficiaries, during the summer vacation.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports organizes, through the student cultural centers and the Student Sports Cultural Complex "Tei", during the summer vacation, student camps that take place in the mountains, at the seaside, and in the Danube Delta.
*
